Moira MacTaggert is a human geneticist with pro-mutant interests. She is an old flame of Xavier's and resides on Muir Island in Scotland. She assists Xavier's School and the X-Men from time to time with technology and scientific research.
She is the legal guardian of Rahne Sinclair, a young mutant now living at the school.
