NEW: A more in-depth profile available soon!

Biography.

  • Full Name: Therese Christonos-Broussard, unknown.
  • Codename: Sage.

History, unknown.

Powers.

Cybernetic Mind:

Sage's mind is not actually a computer. Through biological mutation rather than cybernetic means, though, Sage's brain is "opened" up to allow near-complete conscious access to the brain's vast storage and mental capabilities. As a whole, humans maintain conscious control of only ten percent of their brain, which accounts for limited memory and an inability to manipulate psychic forces. But Sage uses almost ninety-eight percent of her brain. Thus, Sage's brain really does function like a computer with unlimited storage capability. She is able to record and analyze immeasurable quantities of data, including the entire genetic code of any living being. Additionally, she can calculate complex statistics in mere seconds. This incredible brain function also allows Sage to multi-task on an inhuman level, capable of juggling three or four independent tasks with ease. Sage's "cybernetic" brain also grants Sage complete control of her body - which makes her a formidable athlete and hand-to-hand combatant. This cybernetic brain, though, does not make Sage cyberpathic. She cannot manipulate a computer with her thoughts alone, she must use her hands and eyes like any ordinary person - though her mind does additionally act as a "satellite" connection, enabling Sage to connect to the Internet from any terminal, regardless of whether the computer contains the capability required to do so otherwise.

Kinetic Memory:

A direct correlation to Sage's vast mental capabilities, she is able to recall absolutely everything at will with incredible speed and accuracy. Her memory is without parallel - names, dates, places, details. Everything she has ever heard, seen, smelt, felt, or tasted is hers to remember when and if she so chooses. She even remembers the exact details of her own dreams. Sage forgets nothing - if she so chose, she could even mentally replay entire films from start to end, down to the second. This ability, also considered 'total recall', allows Sage to track the probability of an event in the foreseeable future by piecing together stored data in search of patterns or projections.

Jumpstart:

This is perhaps the most curious ability of Sage's. Fundamentally, this power is derived from Sage's ability to sense and detect mutants. Within a radius of one hundred feet, Sage is able to discern by 'feeling' alone if there are fellow mutants in her proximity. Best described as mental recognition, Sage can then zero out specific mutants. In a crowd or mob, Sage can home in on individuals - thus, it is a very person-specific ability if she so desires it to be, able to find a particular mutant in a mutant 'haystack'. She can even detect would-be mutants who have yet to discover their latent abilities. But the mutant sense doesn't stop there. Thanks to her cybernetic mind, Sage can then telepathically copy, store, and analyze the target's DNA. And in doing so, Sage can isolate the mutant gene in the target, latent or otherwise. And with but a telepathic nudge, she can 'unlock' latent abilities in would-be mutants, as well as 'unlock' secondary mutations in existing mutants.

Telepathy:

Sage posseses a number of low-level telepathic abilities, mostly a subset or sideset of her other mental powers. She can pick up surface thoughts in neighboring persons (range: within twenty-five feet radius), as well as speak directly into the minds of others (range: within one hundred feet radius). She can plant subtle suggestions, too (range: within twenty-five feet radius) - though this should not be considered absolute mind control, by any means. She can also reflect most psionic attacks, which defends her mind against invasive telepathy, mind control, or mentalm illusions. Sage is also just now learning how to project her astral form onto the astral plane, which leaves her corporeal body exposed and vulnerable - but allows her to travel mentally across great distances, and communicate with others on the astral plane (range: within one hundred miles).

Cyber Shades:

A parting gift from Xavier, designed and constructed on the Professor's dime. These shades are custom-build, a step above commercial technology. To the uninformed, they appear to be designer sunglasses - thin wire frame, with half-translucent lenses of a pale rose color. But the truth is, they are much more than that. Fundamentally, they function as a wireless broadband computer network. Providing an A/V feed via a built-in computerized system, the shades are equipped with miniature microphones and cameras, as well as the capability to project three-dimensional images into the interior surface of the micro-wired lenses. The high-tech device works by providing input via a virtual reality iconographic keyboard, which is operated through a visual input system - making the shades essentially hands-free. The shades can interface with just about any external data network, making data review and system hacking a virtual experience. Of course, they are also outfitted with a variety of sensors, which detect telepathic resonance patterns, track energy trails, and analyze electronic circuitry. Ideally, shades of this make would make for instant and in-depth communication between like models. But to date, Xavier alone possesses the only other pair of cyber shades, in case of emergency.
