• Family: Zeferino Mauro Gazzara aka Zeferão (father), former international footballer, currently assistant coach of the Men's Soccer Team at New York University; Maria Sakura da Silva Gazzara (mother), sports agent; Teresa Kasumi da Silva Gazzara (sister).

Born April 15, 1995, Zef had lived in five different countries before the age of eleven, due to his father's career as a professional footballer, and speaks as many languages. The Gazzara family has been subject to media attention for nearly the entirety of his father's career, as Zeferão had played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe, was a constant fixture on the Brazilian national team, and considered by many football pundits to be one of the most professional players in the history of the game.

Much of Zeferino's academic career in Europe was spent in private institutions, places that were often patronized by the old blue-bloods of Europe. Though he was never without friends, there were certainly students who had been raised to be less than sensitive in terms of racial relations. As a result, Zef has heard every applicable racial epithet in three different languages. If nothing else, this only strengthened his competitive spirit, fueling his desire to do his best in whatever endeavor.

After his father's retirement from football in 2005, the Gazzara family relocated the New York, where the media would be less likely to hound them, and people would be less likely to recognize them, given the state of soccer's popularity in the US. Powers

Zeferino has an extremely sophisticated sense of equilibrium, and will almost never lose his feet. As such, his balance, coordination, and reflexes are at superhuman levels, while his speed and agility are near the human limit. He can learn how to perform physical actions more quickly than most, simply by watching them, and his sense of balance extends to any object he might hold in his hands, and allows him to throw nearly any object, except for things with very poor ballistics, with extreme accuracy. Needless to say, his abilities make him a natural athlete.
