Salem Center is a fictional town. However, Westchester County, where it is located, is a real county to the north of New York City
On the Game
Salem Center is home of Xavier's School, and thus also the X-Men. It is a very small town which currently boasts its own train station with a commuter link straight to Grand Central. It was also host to one of the shadow monster attacks.
While in Salem Center, one can enjoy a cone at Ye Olde Fashioned Ice Cream Shoppe, read a book at the Salem Center Library, or buy some sundies at the General Store.
