Magneto is the codename of Erik Lensherr, a survivor of the Holocaust and an old friend of Charles Xavier. All too familiar with humanity's cruelty, he founded the Brotherhood of Mutants, a terrorist organization that takes to any means necessary to ensure the survival and success of the mutant race.

Magneto has the power to control magnetic forces. Although his limits are not known, he was capable of lifting an entire bridge from its moorings and turning it about.
