About Me

I'm a (soon to be) college graduate with a degree in New Media Design (aka - 3D modeling, animation, website design, and graphic design). I'd eventually like to continue my education.

My love for superheroes started around the time of the original animated X-Men, Iron Man, Spiderman, and Batman series. I was a die hard fan of those shows, and it was the game City of Heroes/Villains that got me back into comics and the fandom.

Admittedly, I actually can't stand Marvel anymore. After the flopping Ultimate series, butchering characterization (Emma in New X-Men), bad shipping character choices (Angel/Paige at the funeral in Uncanny, anyone?), and then not being able to keep anyone dead, I re-rolled to DC and am much happier with reading their comics.

Other notes about me: Avid gamer, history/mythology/nature geek, absolutely love amusement parks and roller coasters, and I have a soft spot for animals.

Character Choices:

Emma

Emma - I chose Emma because I always had a love/hate relationship with the character. I still do to this day. When she's written well, she actually brings another dynamic to most scenarios that she's in.

Emma is a strong willed, smart, a self-preservationist, and a cunning woman that has seen her shares of ups and many downs. She has cracked under pressure, made bad choices, and thinks that she's on top of the game when most of the time things backfire on her. She's jaded, cynical, and wants to do good - but has a hard time getting past her own self guarded state. That makes her quite relateable to me.

Wade

Wade - Wade is simply a barrel of monkeys with a bad case of fleas. I've fallen in love with him after being introduced to the Cable and Deadpool series before it was canceled. He's the only Marvel character so far to have me LOL while in class or on the train while reading his comics.

If anyone has ever seen me while hyper, drunk, or just tired - they can attest that I do get 'Wade-like' in personality. The bad jokes and innuendos start flying, and I end up doing stupid things like bouncing off the walls and almost falling out of my chair in class from laughing so hard at my own jokes. Wade represents the side of me that I only allow close people to see, the fun and silly side. He's relateable to me because of the sick and twisted mindset we share.

The two characters, Emma and Wade, are on clear opposite spectrums of character personality, and I think that leaves to a good balance (I am a Libra).

Character Note

I do understand that I play Emma Frost. But, please, have respect towards the player. If I do not really know you yet, I may not enjoy conversing about Emma's dimensions or canon costume choices and the like.
