Kyle
Biography
Age: It's a sekrit. ;) Location: Canada MUSH Experience: Too long, perhaps. Nearly 15 years worth of experience on a variety of MU*s with a variety of themes. World of Darkness, X-Men, original fantasy, Anitaverse, original horror, Star Wars (for a short time), etc. are just some of the themes I've messed around with. RP Prefs:
- A mixture of consent and ICA=ICC. Basically, if my character is doing something stupid and it might warrant violence against him, I'd like a bit of warning either ICly or OOCly (ICly: throw a punch but let me have that opportunity to decide if I can have him dodge or not; OOCly, tell me your character is violent and likely to go Medieval on Kyle's ass). But if I persist on having him do something stupid beyond warnings, well, consequences SHOULD happen. :)
- Conflict with a purpose. Conflict for the sake of conflict is boring and frustrating to me as a player. The same goes with angst. If there's a purpose behind it and it progresses and can change, be added to, be removed, etc., this is great because there will be real character and story development. Just beating a dead horse, however, well... I'll just take my bat and go elsewhere.
- Decent grammar and spelling. Typos happen, but if someone is consistently spelling 'the' and 'teh', it makes me wonder if it's not out of laziness to fix it, for example. But I can usually look past casual typos and spelling. However, if I find myself having difficulty understanding poses, it's going to make the experience painful. Please make the attempt to make it readable and we should get along just fine. :)
- Poses longer than 2 lines. Some people like quick RP that comes from one-liners. I'm not one of them. I tend to like to be a bit wordy and descriptive. If my poses are too spammy for you, however, just let me know and I can curb it a bit for you. Just let me know!
RP Dislikes:
- Powerposing. You pose for your character and I'll pose for mine and we'll all be happy, right? :)
- IC/OOC crossing. I'm not my character. You are not yours. Please don't use 'you', 'your', 'I', 'my', etc., in poses with me. If my character is in a fight with yours, that doesn't mean I'm in a fight with you.
- Scenes larger than 3-4 people. I get easily overwhelmed by scenes with four people let alone more.
- Dead-horse-beating conflict (as noted above).
- Scene-stealing / lime-light hogging.
