Biography
- Birthday: March 23, 1974
- Location: Ontario, Canada
- MUSH Experience: Started on my first MUSH in 1993 in my first year of university. I have been hooked ever since and have played and/or staffed on a variety of games in a variety of genres including World of Darkness, original fantasy, Anitaverse, original horror and X-Men.
- OtherMU*: I don't really play anywhere right now, but I run Online Gaming Resource (Siobhan) and am helping with the development of a sci-fi game and a pirate game.
- Characters: Marrow, Brianna (retired), Theresa (retired - removed her wiki page to free her up for the next apper)
- Quotes: "If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put boots on the cats."
- RP Pet Peeves: (Stealing from Rogue, I think.) Power-gaming or meta-gaming, one-line poses, OOC/IC cross-overs, scene-stealing... there are more, I'm sure. ;)
- RP Prefs: (Once again, thanks, Rogue.) ICA = ICC. I'll RP out just about anything (even violence and angst) but if I have issues with it, you'll hear from me and either we'll work things out OOCly and fix the issue or we'll FTB and work it out OOCly as to what happened.
I'm a happily married (since 2001) Library Assistant who is 'child-free' and is 'raising' her two cats, Chynna and Jack. My interests are strange and eclectic in every part of my life.
In music, I can easily switch between industrial hardcore, world, dance, metal, alternative and even some classical. My favourite group is Nine Inch Nails, but also love stuff like Loreena McKennitt, Korn, Tori Amos, Front Line Assembly, Delerium and even the occasional Weird Al song (Amish Paradise & Too White And Nerdy, baybee!) -- the perks or quirks of working in a music store for seven years includes having a very wide selection of musical tastes.
With regards to movies, I have a love of all things violent (read: action flicks), sci-fi or fantasy, Jackie Chan movies and horror, specializing in vampire flicks, tossed in with a smattering of interest in anime, some Disney movies and other animated flicks (e.g. Heavy Metal, Rock & Rule, The Secret of N.I.M.H., etc.). Oh yes, did I mention I actually like movies such as I Come In Peace (Dolph Lundgren) and Hell Comes To Frogtown or They Live (Roddy Piper)? (I think my hubby's love of B-movies is rubbing off on me.)
I may be 30-something, but that doesn't stop me from playing games, getting dressed up for Halloween (at work) and even buying an Emily Strange bag for a purse. ;)

Some Caveats
- I am a chick sci-fi/fantasy/horror geek. If I could have a pink light saber, I would. If you get me talking about these genres, look out because I am opinionated and have my 'faves' and 'discards' just like everyone else. But this also does not mean that I have seen and love every possible sci-fi/fantasy/horror movie, read all the books, all the comics. I love LotR, for example, but have not even read The Hobbit yet -- but please don't call me a blasphemer or evil for not being into your favourite fandom. Variety is the spice of life and that's why there's so many things for us to choose from, right? :)
- I stopped collecting comics back in about 1995/96 or thereabouts. I know nothing of the House of M or other more recent X-title storylines. I wish I did. Maybe some day I will. Please don't spoil these storylines for me if you can help it. If it's on the channels, I can dechan (though I think there might be a channel just for comic talk?), but paging me with it... please don't? :) I've already had a few of the newer storylines ruined for me because of over-enthusiastic readers. I appreciate the enthusiasm for the genre/story, but please leave /some/ of it to surprise for me, ok? Thanks!
- I'm a MUSH-dino. I've been around since 1993. I think usually I'm a pretty easy person to get along with but there are times that I get cranky and crusty like all dinos. I try to curb this as much as I can but sometimes it means that I'm more blunt than most people are used to and I have a low threshhold (low patience level) for certain things (poor behaviour, power-posing, etc.). Thankfully, this hasn't been too much of a problem on XMR and because I'm aware of these things about myself, I do my best to halt these things before they start. :D
Now, with all that said, I hope you don't think I'm this nasty, crusty old hag who just says whatever the hell she wants and who will bite your head off if you so much as mention the House of M (I might just politely ask you not to spoil the storyline for me as I'd love to get back into collecting again someday). *snickers* I do my best to get along with pretty much everyone, but I just happen to wear my life out on my sleeve -- I'd rather be up-front and honest about some of my triggers and short-comings so that people know what to expect.
