Shapeshifters have the ability to alter their physical forms. Sometimes these changes may be limited to subtle ones, though many shapeshifters can change their entire physical structure. Some are experts are impersonating other people or objects.
Shapeshifters who are limited to only one or more forms (usually animal forms) are more often referred to as metamorphs.
