Me? Feel free to call me Annie. I'm a tiny chick from the East Coast, caught up in the entertainment industry on the West Coast. I'm old enough to drink, but not old enough to be through with university. On that note, I'm a proud USC Trojan majoring in BA Theatre. And yes, I consult for Marvel Comics. Basically, I meet with the writers to brainstorm and discuss continuity issues.

I've been MUCKing for well over a decade now. And from MU*s, I discovered journal-based RP on LiveJournal, then GreatestJournal. So I have more than enough experience under my belt. Unfortunately, I tend to be pretty picky. I absolutely adore character descriptions, and I won't apologize for my five-paragraph descriptions. I would likely break buffers, if XMR's buffers weren't so ridiculously generous. And I demand more than one or two sentences in return. If I'm going to pour my energy and time into a scene, I expect a similar effort in return. The best scenes are challenging and dynamic: witty banter, angsty snark, steamy foreplay, deadly violence, you name it! Keep it interesting, keep it moving in a direction that advances character development. And please, pretty please, don't force me to do all the work to keep the scene progressing. Quid pro quo, eye for an eye. Let's brainstorm and cooperate OOC to make IC all the more fun. Because after all, IC drama is always better than OOC drama.

I am oh-so-passionate about my favorite genres: Marvel, Harry Potter, and Firefly. Generally, I avoid discussing such topics, because I tend to argue. I can be stubborn and obsessive in my opinions, be warned! Also, I love dinking around with graphic design. With a Wacom Bamboo tablet and Photoshop-slash-Illustrator CS3, I never get bored. Feel free to proposition me for icons or graphics of your characters! I'd love to.

But, that's all player-based and character-based information. So, onto the fun stuff!

Staff Information:

Okay, so. Most of the above information is available under my player profile, but this seems a more appropriate place to also include some information about my position on staff. My primary position is Plotstaff, with an assistant position on Applications. And while most of my Wizarding experience comes from Building and Coding, I do hope I prove qualified in my XMR positions.

Plotstaff: Okay, so. Working with canon on a regular basis, I have tons of ideas as far as plotting. And I will, of course, be working with the rest of the staff to bring a plotbunny into being. But we're not alone here. I believe in a grassroots approach to getting plotbunnies off the ground. For us to help you, you must help us. Besides the ideas staff come up with, your ideas are important, too. I love discussion. And I will be as receptive as possible - whilst still keeping in mind the limits and provisions a MU* demands. And when a plotbunny comes about, expect me to contact you. Because I would love to get you involved. If you're not sure how you could get involved, we'll brainstorm together to make sure you're excited and interested. Your characters' role in a plot are vital for its survival, especially with a playerbase of this size. So! Let's stay in touch, 'kay?

Applications: Now this, this I've been doing for years. Comes with the territory of running RPGs on LiveJournal and GreatestJournal. I've seen it all - and I've saved some of the most ridiculous applications. But I'll only be taking an active look-over new applications when Alice is overworked or otherwise absent. But that doesn't mean I won't field questions or shoot the breeze with prospective players - or current players, looking to pick up a new character. I adore FCs, as should be rather obvious, but I also have a healthy understanding and appreciation of and for OCs. Hopefully, I can help you avoid a Mary Sue or a Gary Stu - and maybe even help you avoid too many rewrites and corrections, application-wise. So give me a ring, whenever.

Finally, I do ask that you do not contact me if Annie is DARK. Also, if Annie is DARK, please do not contact my characters with staff-related questions. If DARK, consider me off-duty. And believe me, you will be ignored if you do not heed this simple request. Sorry!
