School Confidentiality
Considering the nature of the school (being a school for mutants that is not known as such in the public eye), confidentiality and discretion are of the utmost importance. As such:
- ALL students need to familiarize themselves with the Code of Conduct once they arrive at the school. (On-game: type +bbread 11/5 to do so.)
- Upon arriving at the school, ALL students would be immediately informed that they are not to talk to anyone not affiliated with the school about the school's true nature. Even the location of the school should not be revealed. The school is not known publicly as a mutant school and if that knowledge leaked, it would compromise the safety of everyone within it due to the current unstable public atmosphere regarding mutants (and such an event must be OOCly approved by Plot Staff first due to the scope of effect).
- If a student comes across someone who is a good candidate to be brought to the school, it must be cleared through a faculty member first as background checks will be done on the individual. OOCly, the player in question (the one being recruited) needs to @mail Xavier and *STAFF, then staff or Xavier will give the 'go ahead' to a faculty member to recruit them. A faculty member may defer this job to a trusted student if they want but only after the 'background check' is done. Otherwise, no non-school students or personnel are to be brought to the school without clearance from faculty.
Just a note: The students do not currently know of the existence of the X-Men or the jet, underground levels, secret areas, etc. Some students might know about some of the underground levels but this is to be found out through IC means, not assumed. If someone has not taken your character down there or ICly told your character about it, they don't know about it.
(No, there's no X-Jet coming up from the basketball court, sad to say. ;) Keep in mind that the grounds for the school are immense and the jet is actually hidden some distance from the mansion. And the Danger Room is something only some students get to see while practicing their powers. Some faculty don't even see it.)
