The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning is a program offered to mutants too old for Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Though Xavier doesn't have the means to offer a full postsecondary education, those in this program can board at the mansion and arrange for informal powers training with other students. Tutoring, advisement, and financial support are available for Institute students who need them. Many graduates of the high school program enroll in the Institute while pursuing college or work in New York.
The roster of the Institute includes students and faculty advisors, much as the Xavier's School roster includes both students and teachers. The faculty and staff of the School can also join the Institute, as either students or advisors. The Institute and School share most facilities, but have separate lounges and training rooms, as well as OOC chat channels and bulletin boards.
Their appropriate channels are: Xavier Institute, X-Mansion, (and in some cases) Faculty (attn: all non-Xavierites on these channels will be removed and potentially warned)
