Summary
It all began as a Halloween Costume Ball like many others, complete with candy bowls, spooky decorations, and classic horror films playing in various locations of the party. Zachary and Marrow arrived together and made a beeline (at Zach's insistence) for the Romero room, while Marcel and Beckah? individually arrived and wandered around the party.
The fun and lightly spooky air of the event suddenly became much more somber with a mysterious voice calling out from the walls, followed by the discovery of a dead body on the second floor. A crowd gathered around to gape, only to flee in panic as a man in a hockey mask cut through a fabric partition with a machete and began to attack Beckah. Marrow rushed to her aid, while Zachary dropped an arm to go steal the man's machete.
Meanwhile, cries of horror revealed the presence of zombies on the lower floor. Zachary went to the stairs to deal with them, while a red-eyed zombie in butcher's garb attacked Marcel.
Eventually, all the zombies were dispatched by stabbing through the head, and the culprit was revealed -- a prankster in a scream mask with the apparent mutant power of controlling zombie-esque minions. His amusement at their response to his prank made the group rather uninclined to help him cover up when the police came knocking to see what happened. He was turned over to the MCU, while the others, pretending to be typical partygoers (except for Zachary, who pretended to be an elaborate zombie dummy) fled the scene.
