Summary

The shadow monsters appeared out of a dimensional rift in an iPod billboard, which was opened by an insane scientist who is now in police custody. The shadow monsters are capable of possessing humans, mutants, and inanimate objects, augmenting their physical abilities. Their whereabouts and agenda are currently unknown, though they seem drawn to mutants.

Shadowplay Part One

Run by Mordant
Location: Times Square
Participants: Buck?, Keenan?, Nikki, Riley, Saga?, Tyson, Zachary
Role: Appeared from a billboard and attacked a large crowd. Possessed several people in the crowd and began to menace and attack selected mutants. Escaped into sewers and subways.

Shadowplay Part Two

Run by ^{(probably Mordant)}
Location: Port Authority Bus Station?
Participants: Adam, Keenan?, Logan?, Luke, Marcel, Pat, Saga?, Tyson, Zachary
Role: Fought several mutants, and used a touch of intense cold to injure Luke. Possessed a street preacher and several hot dogs. Referred to mutants as the "sons of kings" and suggested that the shadow monsters were trying to "find their home."

Shadowplay Part Three

Run by Mordant
Location: Salem Center
Participants:Sally, John, Keenan?, Skyler, Gwen, Marcel, Pigs?
Role: Possessed John, Skyler, and the entire herd of Sally's pigs. John and Skyler acted in extremely unsettling and crazy ways upon possession, but the pigs kicked it up a notch by doubling in size and turning into red-eyed, tusked, man-killing hell pigs. The shadows were driven out of John and Skyler, but remained in the pigs, heading out of town on a dirt road that led to the countryside. John and Skyler's possession seems to indicate that all the shadow monsters are somehow psychically connected.
